When's the best time to start a hypnobirthing course?

I’d say anytime from around 16 weeks onwards is great! I’ve found that some people like to kick things off early, while others prefer to leave it closer to the big day. It's totally up to you and what feels right. If you decide to go with ‘the earlier the better’ option I want you to know that you’ll not be left to it as soon as your course finishes. When you book a course with me you can access to me for support from the time of booking until after your baby is born.

Should my partner come along to the course with me?

Absolutely! It's actually a fantastic idea for your partner to join you. They'll learn loads about how to support you during labour and birth, which can make a big difference. I make a big deal out of you both being in this as a team, so they’d be a very welcome part of the group. I do get that life and work can sometimes get in the way so don’t worry if they can’t attend. I provide plenty of resources and support to get them feeling well prepared even if they can’t attend.

Will hypnobirthing guarantee me a pain-free birth?

Whilst I would love to promise that, unfortunately, I can't guarantee a completely pain-free experience or a particular kind of birth for that matter. However, many people find that hypnobirthing techniques help them manage pain more effectively and have a calmer, more positive birth experience overall.

I'm having a caesarean – can I still use hypnobirthing techniques?

Yes, definitely! Hypnobirthing isn't just for natural (I hate that term) births. It can be incredibly helpful for anyone giving birth, regardless of how they do it. It can help you stay calm and relaxed before, during, and after your caesarean. My courses come complete with lots of other information too, which helps you to navigate interventions and decision making from a much more woman centred place. Not only do I want you to feel calm and comfortable during labour, I want you feel empowered and in control from pregnancy all the way through to bringing your baby home.

I might need an induction – will hypnobirthing still be useful?

Absolutely. Hypnobirthing techniques can be really helpful during inductions. They can help you stay calm, relaxed, and focused, which can make the induction process smoother and more comfortable for you, and just as I’ve mentioned above, my courses are more that just Hypnobirthing. You’ll have a complete education at your back to help you through any intervention. I’ve really got you covered!

What makes you different from other hypnobirthing providers?

I like to keep things real and down-to-earth. Having been through birth twice, I've crafted my own independent course based on both personal experience and professional training. My expertise extends beyond just Hypnobirthing; I'm also a trained Doula, Breastfeeding, Antenatal, and Postnatal Practitioner, as well as a passionate Birth Trauma Rewind Practitioner. So, you'll have access to a wealth of knowledge and support across these areas if you need it.

Whilst I've worked under a few big Hypnobirthing brands in the past, I felt they didn't fully align with the support I wanted to provide my clients. My courses are designed to be practical, easy to understand, and tailored to equip you with the tools for a positive birth experience, no matter which route your journey takes. My role is to offer you evidence-based information so you can make informed decisions, without judgment. Your story is yours, and yours alone and I want you to be proud of it!

Moreover, I'm dedicated to supporting you every step of the way. Your mindset and individual experience matter greatly to me, and I'm committed to going above and beyond to ensure you feel supported and valued. Your well-being is my priority, and I'll do everything in my power to help you feel excited, confident and empowered as you journey towards your new life as a family.
